Vadehavet er et af de steder, hvor man pludselig forstår, at naturen er større end os. Her er horisonten uendelig, og landskabet skifter form hver eneste time. Når tidevandet trækker sig tilbage, åbner havbunden sig som en enorm, blank flade, hvor fugle vandrer som små prikker i det fjerne. Når vandet vender tilbage, forsvinder alt igen — som om naturen leger med os.
Der er en særlig stilhed her. Ikke den tomme stilhed, men den store. Den, hvor man kan høre vinden, havet, fuglene og sit eget åndedrag på én gang. Mange siger, at Vadehavet er et sted, man ikke bare ser — man mærker det. Det er naturens egen puls.
Og så er der Sort Sol. Tusindvis af stære, der samles i luften og tegner mønstre, som ingen kunstner kan efterligne. Det er naturens eget teater, og man står som publikum og glemmer alt andet.
